Biography
Cai Ziqi is currently a mphil student in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Shenzhen Technology University in 2025. His research focuses on energy storage materials and technologies, including low-cost, fluorine-free battery recycling methods, design strategies for room-temperature sodium-sulfur batteries, and innovative applications of supercapacitors in sustainable energy systems. Through his prior studies, he is now dedicated to researching battery thermal runaway and battery safety.
