Biography
Dayang Musa is currently a Visiting PhD Student at the Research Centre for Fire Engineering. She is from the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Dayang completed her Bachelor Science of Forestry (minor in Forest Management), Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2013. During her Bachelor degree, she represents Malaysia at the 8th International Junior Forest Contest in Russia. Then, she continued her Master of Science (Forest Management and Conservation) and graduated in 2016 from Universiti Putra Malaysia and was awarded the Best Master Thesis Award for a Maters’s Degree from the Faculty of Forestry. Afterwards, she continues her journey as a junior lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Sabah from 2016-2020. Her research interest includes smouldering peat fire and peat fire suppression.
