About the SureFire Workshop
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will host the 2nd International Smart Firefighting Workshop (SureFire 2024) on 9 July 2024 (Tuesday), following the 1st workshop at Tsinghua University in 2023. We extend a warm invitation to everyone to join us in Hong Kong for this engaging and informative one-day workshop.
The rise in fires in tall buildings globally highlights how the changing built environment has altered the fire threat. The SureFire System, part of the smart city blueprint, utilizes complex data networks for real-time monitoring of urban environments and hazards. The development of a smart firefighting system will help develop future smart buildings and smart cities.

You could book any hotels in Kowloon or Hong Kong Island as you can easily take MTR East Rail Line to go to Hung Hom Station.

Transportation
You can take a Hong Kong Taxi to reach PolyU from the airport or other locations.
You can also take MTR (East Rail Line, West Rail Line) to reach Hung Hom station and enter the PolyU campus through Exit A. If you are coming from the airport, you may consider taking the Airport Express Train to reach your destination.
